What’s happening?
What you need before you start
- The STEPPI app is installed on your phone
- Access to the email address registered with your organisation
- An active internet or data connection
How to get started on STEPPI
- Open the STEPPI app
- Select your preferred language
- If you are a new user, SIGN UP to create an account
- If you are an existing user and have a STEPPI account, select LOG IN

New users:
Join your organization on STEPPI
- On the Welcome to STEPPI screen, tap Sign up
- Select your preferred language
- If you are a new user, choose Sign up to create a new account

Create your account and verify your email
- On the Complete your profile screen:
- Enter your name
- Select your gender
- Add your date of birth
- Choose a profile name and add a profile photo (optional)
Your name and photo will appear on leaderboards and the social feed, helping others recognise you.
- Enter your email address and choose a password.
- Your password must be at least 8 characters long*
- Enter the 4-digit verification code sent to your registered email to complete your registration

Existing users:
Log in to your STEPPI account
- On the Welcome to STEPPI screen, tap Log in
- Enter your registered email address and password

Not receiving the OTP code
What’s happening?
Why this happens
This can happen if:
- The email was entered incorrectly
- The OTP email went to your spam or junk folder
- There is a delay from your email provider
- Your internet connection is unstable
How to fix it
- Double-check your email or phone number
Make sure there are no spelling mistakes or missing digits.
- Check your spam or junk folder
OTP emails can sometimes be filtered automatically.
- Wait a few minutes
In some cases, the OTP may take a short time to arrive.
- Request a new OTP
Go back and tap Resend code.
- Check your internet connection
Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
If it still doesn’t work
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app
- Try again after a few minutes
Trouble setting or resetting your password
What’s happening?
Why this happens
This may happen if:
- Your password does not meet the minimum requirements
- The password and confirmation do not match
- There was a temporary app or connection issue
How to fix it
- Check the password requirements
Your password must be at least 8 characters long.
- Make sure both passwords match
Re-enter your password carefully in both fields.
- Avoid extra spaces
Make sure there are no spaces before or after your password.
- Try a stronger password
Use a mix of letters and numbers for better security.
If it still doesn’t work
- Make sure you are using the latest version of the STEPPI app
- Try again after a few minutes
Error message when entering the organization code
What’s happening?
Why this happens
This may happen if:
- The organization code was entered incorrectly
- The code has expired or is no longer active
- You are using the wrong code for your organization
How to fix it
- Check the organization code carefully
Make sure there are no extra spaces and that all letters and numbers are entered correctly.
- Confirm the code with your organization
Ask your HR or program administrator to make sure the code is still valid..
- Try again after refreshing the app
Close and reopen the STEPPI app, then re-enter the code.
If it still doesn’t work
- Make sure you are using the latest version of the STEPPI app
- Try again after a few minutes
