Connect WHOOP to STEPPI Teams
What’s happening?
What you need before you start
- A WHOOP device and an active WHOOP account
- The WHOOP app is installed
- The STEPPI Teams app is installed
- An active internet or data connection
How it works
WHOOP does not connect directly to STEPPI Teams
Your activity must sync through a health platform:
- On iPhone:
WHOOP → Apple Health → STEPPI Teams
- On Android:
WHOOP → Health Connect → STEPPI Teams
How to connect WHOOP on iPhone
Step 1: Connect WHOOP to Apple Health
- Open the WHOOP app
- Go to Settings
- Find Apple Health integration
Enable sharing with Apple Health
Make sure activity data is enabled
Step 2: Check Apple Health data
- Open the Apple Health app
- Make sure your activity is updating
Step 3: Connect Apple Health to STEPPI Teams
- Open the STEPPI Teams app
- When prompted to connect a device
- Choose Apple Health
- Tap Connect
Tap Turn On All and then Save
How to connect WHOOP on Android
Step 1: Connect WHOOP to Health Connect
- Open the WHOOP app
- Enable integration with Health Connect
Step 2: Check Health Connect permissions
- Open Health Connect
- Make sure WHOOP is connected and allowed to write activity data
Step 3: Connect Health Connect to STEPPI Teams
- Open the STEPPI Teams app
- When prompted to connect a device
- Choose Health Connect
- Tap Connect
Allow STEPPI Teams to access your activity data
After connecting
Open the WHOOP app and make sure your activity is updating
Check that activity appears in Apple Health or Health Connect
Open STEPPI Teams and pull down on the home screen to refresh
Your activity should appear shortly in STEPPI Teams
If your activity is not updating
- Make sure WHOOP is syncing correctly
- Check that data is appearing in Apple Health or Health Connect
- Check that STEPPI Teams has permission to read data
If it still doesn’t work
- Restart your phone
- Open WHOOP first, then Apple Health / Health Connect, then STEPPI Teams
- Disconnect and reconnect your integration
- Make sure all apps are updated
Troubleshooting WHOOP connection issues
WHOOP is connected but activity is not updating
What’s happening?
Why this happens
This may happen if:
- WHOOP is not syncing to Apple Health or Health Connect
- STEPPI Teams does not have the required permissions
- There is a delay in syncing between apps
- One of the apps was recently installed or updated
How to fix it
1. Check WHOOP app
Open the WHOOP app
Make sure your activity is updating
2. Check bridge app
Open Apple Health or Health Connect
Make sure the same data appears there
STEPPI Teams can only sync data that exists in these apps
3. Check permissions
Make sure:
- WHOOP can write data
- STEPPI Teams can read data
4. Refresh STEPPI Teams
Open the STEPPI Teams app
Pull down on the home screen to refresh
Wait a few seconds
Manually added data is not counted
Important to know
STEPPI Teams only reads physically tracked activity
Manually added or edited data will not be counted
Why this happens
To ensure fair tracking, only real, device-recorded activity is accepted
What to do
- Wear your WHOOP device consistently
- Make sure it is syncing with Apple Health or Health Connect
- Avoid modifying activity data

If your activity is visible in WHOOP but not in STEPPI Teams:
- Check Apple Health or Health Connect
- Refresh STEPPI Teams
- Follow the troubleshooting steps above
