Connect STEPPI Track to STEPPI Teams


What’s happening?


You want to connect STEPPI Track to STEPPI Teams, so your steps and activity are tracked directly through your phone



What you need before you start


  • The STEPPI Teams app is installed
  • An active internet or data connection
  • Activity/fitness tracking is enabled on your device



How to connect STEPPI Track to STEPPI Teams


  1. When prompted to connect a device in the STEPPI Teams app
  2. Choose STEPPI Track
  3. Tap Connect



Allow STEPPI Teams permissions


Make sure STEPPI Teams is allowed to access:


  • Activity / Motion data
  • Fitness tracking


These permissions are required for STEPPI Teams to track your activity



After connecting


  • Start moving with your phone
  • Open STEPPI Teams and pull down on the home screen to refresh


Your steps should appear shortly in STEPPI Teams



If your steps are not updating


  • Make sure activity tracking is enabled on your device
  • Check that STEPPI Track is still connected



If it still doesn’t work


  • Restart your phone
  • Disconnect and reconnect STEPPI Track
  • Make sure you are using the latest version of STEPPI Teams



Troubleshooting STEPPI Track connection issues


STEPPI Track is connected but steps are not updating



What’s happening?


You’ve connected STEPPI Track to STEPPI Teams, but your steps are missing, delayed, or not updating



Why this happens


This may happen if:


  • STEPPI Teams does not have the required permissions
  • Activity tracking is disabled on your device
  • There is a delay in syncing data
  • The app was recently installed or updated



How to fix it


1. Check permissions


  • Go to your phone settings
  • Make sure STEPPI Teams has access to motion and fitness tracking


2. Check your device


  • Make sure your phone is with you while moving
  • STEPPI Track only records steps when your phone detects movement



3. Refresh STEPPI Teams


  • Open the STEPPI Teams app
  • Pull down on the home screen to refresh
  • Wait a few seconds


4. Restart your device


  • Restart your phone
  • Open STEPPI Teams again



Manually added data is not counted



Important to know


STEPPI Track only records steps that are physically tracked by your device


Manually added or edited activity will not be counted



Why this happens


To ensure fair tracking, STEPPI Teams only records:


  • Real movement detected by your phone


Manually entered data cannot be validated and is excluded



What to do


Carry your phone while moving

Make sure activity tracking is enabled

Avoid using apps that simulate or alter step data

Refresh the STEPPI Teams app

Check permissions
